Data value and vulnerability
Data value is hard to quantify until you loose it and then take a retrospective look (If you are still in business) at what impact a large loss can have on your business.
From my experience, the idea of a "shoestring" IT infrastructure is a thing of the past and any company that does not take their IT investment seriously, is an inevitable accident waiting to happen!
